Guide Committee

Note: You can not apply for the Guide Committee anymore!

The Eurekaweek Board 2021 is looking for enthousiastic committee members who are willing to help the board with preparing and executing the guide interviews! Are you familiar with (being a guide during) the Eurekaweek and would you like to be involved with the recruitment process of our guides? In that case, we want you!

During the Eurekaweek, the guides are responsible for the groups with participants. These guides are selected based on interviews. The role of the guide committee is helping the Eurekaweek board with these interviews and eventually selecting the guides too. The preparations of the interviews take place in March and takes about 2 hours per week. The interviews are held during April and May and should take about 6-10 hours per week.

It is important that all guides are well prepared for the Eurekaweek. Leading up to the Eurekaweek, all guides must follow a training. This will help them in making sure all participants have a save and unforgettable week. Together with the Eurekaweek board you will prepare and provide the training to all future guides. This should take about 4-6 hours per week.

Lastly, as part of the guide committee, you will man the service point during the Eurekaweek. As a part of the service point team, you will be the first point of contact with guides and participants. You will help guides and participants that maybe want to switch groups, have logistic problems or personal issues. In other words, the guide committee is an amazing way to be involved before and during the Eurekaweek with its participants and guides.

Applying for the guide committee is possible between February 8th and February 26th. We are looking for spontaneous, enthusiastic with a great sense of responsibility. Are you interested? Mail your cv and motivation to vanderboon@eur.nl. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us via mail or calling 010-4089066.
